Paper Cut Outs

All art is fundamentally conceived from shapes and lines that relate to each other. Working as a photographer I often view the world objectively in the abstract form which I find a discipline unto itself. It is through this style of vision these paper cut outs materialized.

These images were conceived during a six week period during the months of January and February.

Brockton Massachusetts

This photo essay documents the decline of once the largest manufacturing shoe city in the world.

From 1977 to 1980 I walked each day with my camera capturing on film this universal truth that was taking place, not only in Brockton, but throughout common  wealth of Massachusetts and throughout our great nation.

My intentions were simply to tell a story about the streets of my youth.

Garden Pottery

My purpose in building a garden evolved for the need to create a shape that would be conducive for creative thinking. I wanted to construct and fill this garden with pottery that would uniquely define my own personal expression.

I also wanted this garden to provide a visual atmosphere that would bring pleasure to those people who visit.

Gardens are created for many different reasons. For me, it is a place where my faith for living is expressed.

Musicians

Music has always been an inspiration helping me to become a better photographer. So it is with pleasure I am currently pointing my camera in this direction. For the past two years I have photographed local musicians from Plymouth Massachusetts throughout Cape Cod. I photographed inside coffee houses because my interest is in the resurgence of this nostalgic format.
